Five Vegan Restaurants You Need To Try Right Now

#4 Komol. Other Thai spots offer vegan options, but Komol’s vegan menu is the holy grail of plant-based dining. The soy chicken nuggets are heaven-sent, as is the chili mint gluten sautéed with garlic, peppers and basil. 953 E. Sahara Ave., #E10, (702) 731-6542.

Giving thanks: 58 reasons to love Las Vegas

#54 Commercial Center.  Komol’s tom kar kai soup is reason enough to hit this run-down, kitschy shopping district. Throw in Lotus of Siam, the Sci-Fi Center, a roller rink, a swingers club and a gay fetish shop, and you have one of the more interesting destinations in a pretty interesting town.

Best vegan eating: Komol

Steve Wynn provided hot spots for vegans on the Strip, but the rest of the Valley has plenty to offer. We love Komol’s mushroom tom kha vegetable spring rolls and kang pa, zucchini, snow peas, carrots, mushrooms, baby corn and bamboo shoots in red curry sauce with coconut milk. 953 E. Sahara Ave. Daily, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. 702-731–6542.

What’s the best restaurant you’ve eaten at in the last month?

“Komol. Last time I went I had the pad Thai, which is pretty typical. But by far it’s the best Thai in town.” — Eric Gyenes (Las Vegas)

Tastes Amazing, Smells Amazing, Is Amazing.

I came from Los Angeles not to long ago, as a new Las Vegas resident. I was used to the fancy vegan/vegetarian restaurants in Southern California. So obviously I was looking for something to match up. This place is pretty sweet. Loved the soy duck curry and the pad-thai noodles with soy fish. The waitress was extremely nice and the people seemed very well-mannered.

This is the place for Thai in Vegas!!

I went there in May and came back in July. It was as great as I remembered, Don’t be fooled by the outside appearance or the other Thai restaurant next door. In May, I think I was the only non-local in there. Someone would come in and they’d be asked if they wanted their usual – my kind of place….

This place has been serving the area for decades. The food is so perfect and you can tell they really care. The staff is so helpful and friendly. They can get tour groups which can make service slow so allow yourself some time, it’s worth it.

Ask a local, and you’ll hear that Komol is home to some of Las Vegas’s best pad thai and spring rolls. Despite the aging storefront and muted interior, the Thai eatery can send the senses into overload with curry and satay dishes – take care, the spicier dishes are VERY spicy. A handful of tofu and vegetarian options is available as well. Pineapple fried rice is a favorite with regulars, who keep coming back for more healthy, tasty fare.

The Best Thai Restaurant in Las Vegas is Komol

When people think Las Vegas thai food, it’s usually Lotus of Siam. Fortunately I’ve found a Thai restaurant in Las Vegas, that’s been around for many years, that’s actually meaningfully better than Lotus of Siam, at least if you order correctly. I had lunch at Komol which is in the same strip mall as Lotus of Siam (score one for competition!).

Komol, Let’s Go To Vegas’ Best Vegetarian Restaurant

Vegetarians, like the majority of health conscious eaters, might be weary of Vegas that admittedly caters more to the party people than the health conscious community. But, if you are a vegetarian living in or just traveling through Vegas, there is one place you have to try: Komol.

For almost three decades, Komol has been consistently recognized as one of the best—if not the best—Thai/Vegetarian restaurant in Las Vegas.

Komol Restaurant Las Vegas

T took me to the award-winning Komol Restaurant at the Commercial Center (Las Vegas) last weekend. By award-winning, I mean they are considered one of the best Thai restaurants in Vegas. Having grown up with a Thai nanny as well as been to Thailand countless times, it is as authentic as it comes, in Vegas.

Komol Restaurant

Komol has been around forever, and no one talks about it anymore, but the food was straight from the wok and fryer, done to a turn, and quite earthy and spicy — all of which made us regret we hadn’t been strolling more often across the parking lot whenever a table at Lotus is hard to score.
